The Role
BearPlex builds production systems for US enterprises that cannot afford brittle software. Our clients operate in regulated markets where a shipped feature has to hold up under audit, scale, and real user load from day one.
This is a senior, full-stack position for an engineer who owns outcomes end to end. You will design, build, and ship features across the React and Node stack for US enterprise clients, working in close overlap with their teams and ours, with the autonomy and accountability that high-trust delivery demands.
What You Will Do
Ship full-stack features. Design and build production features across React, TypeScript, and Node.js, owning them from API contract through deployed UI.
Own architecture decisions. Make sound calls on data models, service boundaries, and component design, and document the tradeoffs so the team can build on them.
Work directly with clients. Engage US enterprise stakeholders directly, translate requirements into working software, and keep delivery transparent.
Raise the quality bar. Write tested, reviewable code, lead code reviews, and hold the line on correctness and maintainability under deadline pressure.
Build for scale and trust. Engineer multi-tenant platforms and integrations that meet enterprise expectations for security, performance, and reliability.
Operate what you ship. Set up observability, debug production issues, and treat the system as something you are accountable for after launch, not just at handoff.
Mentor the team. Help level up other engineers through review, pairing, and clear technical leadership.
What We Are Looking For
Shipped production systems. You have built and operated real production software that served real users, and you can speak to the hard decisions you made.
Full-stack depth. You are strong across React, TypeScript, and Node.js, and comfortable owning both the frontend and the backend of a feature.
Senior judgment. You make pragmatic architecture and tradeoff decisions and know when to optimize and when to keep it simple.
Data and API fluency. You design clean APIs and model data well in PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and you understand caching and performance.
US time-zone overlap. You are based in the United States and can maintain dependable working overlap with US-based client teams.
High-trust communication. You communicate clearly with clients and teammates and keep your work radically transparent.
Nice to Have
Next.js and cloud. Production experience with Next.js and with AWS, GCP, or Azure deployment.
Containerization. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for building and running services.
Regulated-industry experience. You have worked on software with real compliance, security, or auditability requirements.
AI-adjacent work. Exposure to integrating LLMs, RAG, or AI features into production applications.
Why BearPlex
Senior peers. You will work with engineers who have all shipped real production systems and who treat architectural integrity as non-negotiable.
Global enterprise clients. You will build for serious US and international enterprises with real stakes, not throwaway projects.
Remote in the US. Fully remote across the United States, with a team built around dependable time-zone overlap.
Learning budget. A dedicated budget for the courses, conferences, and tools that keep you sharp.
Clear growth. A defined path toward staff engineering and technical leadership for people who keep raising the bar.
