QA Engineer (Manual / Functional Testing)

BearPlex is hiring an experienced QA Engineer to own functional and manual testing across our client projects.

We are a Lahore-based software company with a team of engineers building web, mobile and AI products for clients in healthcare, fintech, e-commerce and HR SaaS. You will be the person who decides whether a release is ready to ship.

This is a mid-to-senior role, based on site at our Lahore office, working alongside developers, project managers and designers.

What you will do

• Own the test cycle for your projects, from reading requirements through to sign-off on releases.
• Write clear, detailed test cases and maintain regression suites.
• Run functional, exploratory, cross-browser and mobile testing.
• Report bugs with precise reproduction steps, severity and evidence, then verify the fixes.
• Test APIs and validate data using tools such as Postman.
• Work with developers and project managers to clarify requirements before they turn into defects.
• Communicate testing status and release risk clearly to the team and to clients.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on manual and functional QA experience.
• Strong QA fundamentals: test planning, test case design, severity and priority, regression, smoke and UAT.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Comfortable with bug tracking and project tools such as Jira, ClickUp or similar.
• Excellent written and spoken English. You will be explaining issues to developers and clients, so clarity matters.
• Ownership mindset. You chase issues down rather than waiting to be told.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Exposure to API testing, SQL or basic automation tools.
• Experience in a software house or agency environment running several projects at once.

• Salary of PKR 250,000 to 400,000 per month, depending on experience.
