The Role
UK enterprises buying AI and platform builds are not short of vendors who can promise. They are short of partners who can stand on-site, own the deployment end to end, and make a complex system land in a regulated environment without drama. That is the job here. You lead BearPlex delivery for our UK enterprise clients, combining real technical leadership with the stakeholder command it takes to keep large organizations confident through a build.
This is a hybrid role based out of London, working closely with client teams on the ground and with our engineering pods in Lahore, Austin, and Doha. You own the outcome: scoping, architecture decisions, delivery quality, and the relationship. You are senior enough to make the hard technical calls and senior enough to be trusted in front of the people who signed the contract.
What You Will Do
Own delivery. Lead the end-to-end deployment of AI and platform builds for UK enterprise clients, from Diagnostic through Build into the long-term Guardian partnership.
Lead technically. Make and defend architecture and implementation decisions, set the technical bar for the engagement, and keep the build on solid ground.
Manage stakeholders. Be the trusted senior point of contact for client leadership, managing expectations, risk, and scope with candour.
Coordinate the pod. Direct distributed engineering teams across time zones, keep work aligned to the client's reality, and remove blockers before they become incidents.
Guard the standard. Hold the line on auditability, security, and architectural integrity, so what ships survives the scrutiny regulated clients apply.
Grow the account. Spot where BearPlex can do more, shape the next phase of work, and turn a successful build into a durable, expanding partnership.
What We Are Looking For
Delivery leadership. A track record leading on-site or hybrid delivery of complex software or AI projects for enterprise clients, owning outcomes rather than tasks.
Engineering credibility. A strong technical background with shipped production systems behind you, so your architecture calls carry weight with engineers and clients alike.
Stakeholder command. Proven ability to manage senior client relationships through ambiguity, pressure, and change without losing trust.
AI and platform fluency. Solid understanding of modern AI systems, cloud architecture, and multi-tenant platforms, with enough depth to lead the work.
Distributed team leadership. Experience coordinating engineering teams across locations and time zones to a single, accountable plan.
UK enterprise context. Familiarity with the expectations, compliance posture, and procurement reality of large UK and European organizations.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with RAG systems, autonomous agents, or model engineering on open-weight models.
Background delivering in regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, or the public sector.
Familiarity with the BearPlex stack, including React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and Kubernetes.
Prior consulting or professional services delivery at a senior level.
