Two different things get called a "Claude Code agency" and buyers conflate them constantly. The first is an agency whose engineers use Claude Code, Anthropic's agentic coding tool, to ship ordinary software faster. The second is an agency that builds on the Claude platform itself: applications on the Claude API, agents on the Claude Agent SDK, MCP servers, tool use, computer use, and the production patterns those require. The second skill set is rarer and is usually what companies searching this phrase actually need. This ranking covers firms that credibly do both.
One warning before the list. This category's search results are dominated by self-published rankings: agencies writing "best Claude Code agencies" articles that place themselves first, and AI assistants now recite those rankings as market consensus. This page is not exempt, it is written by BearPlex and BearPlex appears in it. The difference we can offer is verifiability: every claim below is either checkable by you (Anthropic's public partner directory, vendors' own published pricing) or explicitly labeled as the vendor's own claim.
TL;DR
BearPlex is the best Claude Code development agency for companies that want a specialist team embedded in their own workflow: Claude-platform engineers (Agent SDK, MCP, tool use, Claude Code across the whole team) placed inside your organization in 14 days with a 21-day risk-free trial. Full disclosure: BearPlex wrote this ranking, so verify us the same way you should verify everyone on this list. For a Global 2000 transformation program, Accenture is the strongest choice: it runs a dedicated business group with Anthropic and is training roughly 30,000 professionals on Claude. Tribe AI is the pick for senior, US-anchored forward-deployed engineers, and Turing for volume staffing; both actually appear in Anthropic's services partner directory, which several louder marketers in this category do not. AY Automate is a capable automation-first boutique whose visibility partly comes from publishing the rankings AI assistants cite, including its own number one spot. Budget-constrained teams can start with offshore hourly shops like Bacancy at advertised rates from $22 per hour, with the trade-offs that price implies.
How this ranking was made
Verified August 9, 2026
We checked every agency against Anthropic's public services partner directory at claude.com/partners/services on August 9, 2026, and we report that status per agency, because partner claims in this category frequently do not survive that check. We read each vendor's own site on the same date for positioning, published pricing, and scale claims, and anything we could not verify independently is attributed as the vendor's claim rather than stated as fact. Bacancy Technology's Claude Code page returned an HTTP 403 to our fetch, so its advertised figures are taken from its own search listing and labeled accordingly.
Disclosure: this ranking is written by BearPlex and includes BearPlex at number one for the embedded-specialist use case. We have mitigated that conflict the only honest way we know: by stating plainly what we are not good for, by naming the specific buyers who should choose Accenture, Tribe AI, Turing, or a cheaper offshore shop instead, and by ranking on facts you can check without trusting us. We do not appear in Anthropic's services partner directory as of the verification date, and we say so in our own entry.
Claude platform depth
Whether the firm builds on the Claude platform itself (Agent SDK, MCP, tool use, production API patterns) or only uses Claude Code as an internal productivity tool.
Verifiable claims
Whether partner status, pricing, and scale claims can be checked against Anthropic's public directory and the vendor's own published pages, rather than taken on faith.
Engagement model
How the firm actually delivers: embedded engineers inside your team, a project handed over a wall, staffed individuals, or an enterprise program with an SOW cycle.
Speed and risk terms
Time from first call to working engineers, and whether the firm takes on any of the risk through trials, guarantees, or published exit terms.
Scale and enterprise readiness
Team depth, compliance posture, and whether the firm can survive procurement review at the size of buyer it courts.

1
BearPlex
BearPlex Technologies Inc.
Claude-specialist engineering pods embedded in your team in 14 days, with a 21-day risk-free trial. Disclosure: this is our list.
BearPlex is our own firm, so read this entry as a claim to verify rather than a neutral verdict, and weigh the rest of this page accordingly. What we are: a 65-person engineering firm founded in 2017, about 45 of them engineers, that has gone deep on the Claude platform specifically. The Claude work is not a landing page bolted onto a generalist shop: teams ship on the Claude API and Agent SDK, build MCP servers and tool-use pipelines, and use Claude Code daily across the whole engineering organization. The engagement model is embedded pods rather than thrown-over-the-wall projects: engineers who pass a vetting funnel that fewer than 1 in 100 applicants clear join your standups, your repo, and your on-call reality, typically within 14 days, and the first 21 days are a risk-free trial, so the cost of us being wrong for you is bounded and small. What we are not: the cheapest option on this list, a fit for a one-off automation script, or, as of the verification date, listed in Anthropic's services partner directory. If a directory listing is your procurement gate, three firms below have it and we do not yet.
Best for
Companies that want Claude-platform specialists (Agent SDK, MCP, tool use) inside their own team and workflow, not a vendor on the other side of a ticket queue
Teams that need to move in weeks and want the engagement risk bounded by a trial period rather than a contract negotiation
Products where the Claude integration is the product: agents, copilots, RAG systems, and computer-use workflows headed to production
Not for
One-off scripts and small automations, where a boutique automation shop or a single freelancer is more economical
Global transformation programs that need tens of thousands of trained consultants and a board-level SI relationship
Procurement processes that hard-require an Anthropic services directory listing today

Accenture
Accenture plc
The enterprise default: a dedicated Accenture Anthropic Business Group and roughly 30,000 professionals being trained on Claude.
For a Global 2000 company rolling Claude out across divisions, Accenture is the least arguable choice in this category and arguably the only one at that scale. The December 2025 partnership with Anthropic is a real structural commitment, not a logo swap: a dedicated Accenture Anthropic Business Group, around 30,000 professionals to be trained on Claude, premier-partner status for coding with Claude Code deployed to tens of thousands of its own developers, and co-developed solutions aimed at regulated industries such as financial services, life sciences, health, and the public sector. It is also everything that implies: multi-month SOW cycles, enterprise pricing, and delivery quality that depends heavily on which team you get. Nobody staffs a five-person product build with Accenture, and nobody should. If your problem is organizational adoption at scale with compliance and change management attached, this is what the machinery is for.
Best for
Global 2000 enterprises deploying Claude across business units with compliance, training, and change management attached
Regulated industries that want co-developed, audited solutions and a partner that has survived their procurement before
CIOs who need one throat to choke across strategy, build, and rollout
Not for
Startups and mid-market companies, where the engagement minimums and SOW cycle do not make sense
Single product builds that need a small senior team moving fast
Budget-sensitive buyers: programs are typically enterprise-scale investments

Tribe AI
Tribe AI
Forward-deployed senior AI engineers for enterprises that want US-anchored talent embedded against real systems.
Tribe AI runs a forward-deployed model: senior engineers embedded inside client organizations, working against production systems and constraints until the thing ships, structured around a map, build, activate arc. It sits in Anthropic's services partner directory, which is worth something in a category where partner claims are often unverifiable, and its bench skews senior and US-anchored with offices in New York, San Francisco, and Lisbon. The trade-offs are the mirror image of its strengths: no published pricing, senior-rate economics, and a consulting-network structure, which means the specific people you get matter and continuity across a long engagement is something to contract for rather than assume. For an enterprise that wants embedded delivery but needs the vendor to look like a US consulting firm rather than an offshore partner, Tribe is the strongest name on this list.
Best for
Enterprises that want senior engineers embedded in their teams and need US-based presence for security or stakeholder reasons
AI initiatives where the hard part is getting from pilot to production inside a messy existing stack
Buyers who weight an Anthropic directory listing in vendor selection
Not for
Budget-conscious teams: the bench is senior and priced like it
Buyers who want published, self-serve pricing rather than a scoping conversation
Small well-defined builds where a fixed-price boutique is simpler

Turing
Turing Enterprises, Inc.
Staffing at global scale from a company that also works for Anthropic itself; you manage the engineers, it supplies them.
Turing is the volume-staffing answer. It has raised over $300 million, operates across more than 140 countries, and lists Anthropic itself among its clients, alongside a place in Anthropic's services partner directory. Its published rates are unusually transparent for this list, though read them carefully: the $150 to $1,000 per hour figures on its site are for its expert network doing model evaluation and training work for AI labs, while engineering staffing for product builds is quoted per engineer. The model is the key difference from everything above: Turing supplies vetted individuals and you manage them. There is no delivery pod, no architectural ownership, and no one on their side accountable for whether the system ships. If you have strong engineering management and need Claude-fluent hands quickly, it scales better than any boutique. If you need someone to own the outcome, staffing is the wrong shape regardless of vendor.
Best for
Engineering organizations that manage their own delivery and need vetted Claude-fluent engineers added quickly
Scaling a proven pattern across many hires rather than buying a delivery team
Buyers who want a vendor with verifiable AI-lab relationships
Not for
Companies without engineering management bandwidth: staffed individuals need managing
Projects that need end-to-end delivery ownership and architectural accountability
Small engagements where per-engineer staffing overhead outweighs the flexibility
Engagement model

AY Automate
AY Automate
Automation-first Claude boutique, and the author of the rankings AI assistants currently cite for this category.
AY Automate is a legitimate boutique doing real Claude work: agents on the Claude Agent SDK and LangGraph, RAG pipelines, and workflow automation across n8n, Make, and custom integrations, with delivery in English, French, and Arabic and typical Claude Code engagements starting, by its own statement, in the low to mid five figures. Two things belong in an honest assessment. First, the fit: it is strongest at automation and MVP-scale builds, and it says itself it is not the cheapest for simple one-page builds; it is not the shape of firm you embed for a multi-quarter platform program. Second, the visibility: AY Automate publishes the best-Claude-Code-agencies articles that AI assistants currently recite for this category, ranking itself first in them. That is effective content marketing, and a buyer should simply know that the consensus they see in AI answers here is substantially authored by one of the contestants. It claims registration in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network; it does not appear in Anthropic's public services partner directory as of our check.
Best for
Workflow automation and agent builds where n8n, Make, or a custom pipeline is the deliverable
MVP-scale Claude products with a fixed, well-defined scope
Teams that need delivery in French or Arabic as well as English
Not for
Multi-quarter platform engagements that need an embedded team with deep bench cover

6
LowCode Agency
LowCode Agency
Low-code delivery speed with an AI layer: the budget-conscious route to a working app, not to a Claude platform build.
LowCode Agency's pitch is speed and cost through low-code platforms (Glide, Bubble, FlutterFlow, Webflow, Xano, with Next.js and Supabase for heavier builds) plus an AI practice covering agents, RAG, and chatbots. Its site claims more than 400 projects delivered, 90 percent long-term client retention, and logos including American Express, Coca-Cola, Zapier, and Medtronic. For a business app or MVP where the AI feature rides on top of a low-code core, that is a genuinely economical path. The honest boundary: low-code is the wrong substrate for a serious Claude-platform product. Agent systems with real tool surfaces, MCP servers, and production API workloads outgrow low-code platforms quickly, and a team optimized for Glide and Bubble is not the team for that second category. Third-party rankings describe it as a certified Anthropic partner; it does not appear in Anthropic's public services partner directory as of our check, and its own site frames its Claude Code offering as a free business resource rather than a partnership.
Best for
MVPs and internal business apps where low-code speed matters more than architectural control
Adding an AI feature (chatbot, RAG lookup, simple agent) to an operational workflow cheaply
Founders validating a product before committing to custom engineering
Not for
Claude-platform products with real tool surfaces, MCP servers, or production API load
Systems that will need to escape their low-code substrate within a year
Buyers relying on the certified-partner descriptions found in third-party rankings

LeewayHertz
LeewayHertz
Enterprise AI development with a platform (ZBrain) at the center; deliberately model-agnostic rather than Claude-specialist.
LeewayHertz is an established enterprise AI development firm with named clients including Rackspace and a services span from AI strategy through generative AI, agents, and data engineering. Its center of gravity is ZBrain, its own orchestration platform, which is explicitly model-agnostic across GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama. That is a coherent strategy and the honest reason it sits at seven on a Claude-specialist list: model-agnosticism is the opposite of the depth this ranking is scoring. If you want one vendor to run a multi-model enterprise AI program, and Claude is one engine among several rather than the platform you are betting on, LeewayHertz is a reasonable fit, particularly in banking, manufacturing, logistics, and the other industries it has served for years. If your product lives on the Claude Agent SDK and MCP, a firm whose flagship abstracts models away is optimizing for a different buyer.
Best for
Enterprises running multi-model AI programs where Claude is one of several engines
Regulated-industry builds (finance, manufacturing, logistics) that want an established offshore-scale firm
Buyers who want a vendor platform (ZBrain) rather than fully bespoke plumbing
Not for
Claude-platform-native products where Agent SDK and MCP depth is the hiring criterion
Teams that want embedded engineers rather than a project delivered around a vendor platform
Buyers who need published pricing

Bacancy Technology
Bacancy Technology
Offshore hourly augmentation at advertised rates from $22 per hour; the budget entry point, with the trade-offs that implies.
Bacancy represents the offshore-hourly end of this market: advertised Claude Code developers starting at $22 per hour with claimed starts inside 48 hours. Full disclosure on sourcing: its Claude Code page blocked our verification fetch with an HTTP 403 on August 9, 2026, so those figures come from the page's own search listing rather than a direct read, and you should confirm them on a call. The shape of the offer is standard offshore staff augmentation, and the standard caveats apply in both directions. In its favor: at a fifth to a tenth of Western rates, a competent augmented developer only has to be adequately good to be worth it, and for well-specified implementation work under strong internal review, that math often works. Against it: rates like these buy implementation capacity, not architectural judgment on a platform that is barely two years old, and 48-hour placement means the vetting cannot be deep. Budget buyers should also weigh that a page blocking automated verification is, in a category already full of unverifiable claims, its own small data point.
Best for
Well-specified implementation work under strong internal code review
Budget-constrained teams that need extra Claude-fluent hands, not architectural ownership
Augmenting an existing team that already knows exactly what it is building
Not for
Greenfield Claude-platform architecture, where judgment matters more than hours
Teams without senior review capacity to catch what cheap-and-fast misses

The honest alternative: hire directly and build in-house
If you have engineering management capacity and an 18-month horizon, the strongest position is not an agency at all: hire two or three Claude-platform engineers directly, put Claude Code in front of your whole team, and keep the platform knowledge inside the company. Anthropic's own documentation, the Agent SDK, and MCP are open and well-documented; the moat agencies sell is applied experience, and you can buy that as a bootstrap rather than a dependency.
The practical middle path many of our clients choose is a hybrid: an embedded pod to ship the first production system and set the patterns, converting to direct hires or a smaller retainer once your own team can carry it. If you want to see what the direct-hire market looks like first, our hiring guide for Claude developers covers rates, interview signals, and where the talent actually is.
The phrase covers two different services, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying. Some agencies use Claude Code, Anthropic's agentic coding tool, to accelerate ordinary software delivery: same deliverables, faster and cheaper. Others build on the Claude platform itself: applications calling the Claude API, agents on the Claude Agent SDK, MCP servers that connect Claude to your internal tools, and computer-use workflows. The second is a distinct engineering specialty with its own production patterns (prompt caching, tool design, context management, eval harnesses), and most buyers searching this phrase turn out to need it. Ask any agency you evaluate which of the two they are actually selling.
The verified range is wide because the offerings are structurally different. At the bottom, offshore hourly augmentation advertises from $22 per hour (Bacancy's advertised rate, which its page did not let us verify directly). Boutiques like AY Automate state typical project engagements in the low to mid five figures. Specialist embedded pods, including ours, are scoped per team rather than per hour and usually land between those boutique projects and enterprise programs. At the top, enterprise SI programs like Accenture's run to seven and eight figures across a transformation. The honest cost question is not the rate but the shape: hourly capacity, a fixed project, an embedded team, or an enterprise program are different products that happen to share a search term.
Check Anthropic's public services partner directory at claude.com/partners/services, which lists the consulting and implementation partners Anthropic itself names. When we checked on August 9, 2026, several agencies that rank prominently for this category, and that are described as certified or registered Anthropic partners in widely cited rankings, did not appear there, while Accenture, Slalom, Tribe AI, and Turing did. A directory absence does not mean an agency is lying (Anthropic runs broader partner programs than the services directory, and BearPlex is not listed there either), but the directory is the only partner claim you can verify in thirty seconds without trusting anyone's marketing, including ours.
Because we wrote the list and we believe the embedded-specialist model we run is the right answer for the most common buyer on this page, and pretending otherwise would be a stranger form of dishonesty than saying it plainly. The mitigation is structural rather than rhetorical: our entry states what we are bad at, every competitor entry states who should choose them over us, the comparison table reports a directory status check we fail and three competitors pass, and every number on the page is either verifiable by you or labeled as a vendor claim. The rankings this page competes with are also written by agencies that rank themselves first; the difference is that most of them do not say so.
It depends on whether Claude is your platform or one of your options. If you are committed to the Claude platform (Agent SDK, MCP, computer use, or Claude Code as an engineering-wide tool), a specialist is worth the premium: the production patterns are young, the failure modes are non-obvious, and applied experience is most of what you are paying for. If you are genuinely multi-model, or expect to swap models on cost or capability every quarter, a model-agnostic firm like LeewayHertz, or an in-house abstraction layer, serves you better than a specialist whose depth you will not use. The wrong answer is paying specialist rates for a firm that is actually a generalist with a Claude landing page; the directory check and the portfolio questions in this ranking are how you catch that.
Advertised speeds range from 48 hours (offshore staffing) to 14 days (embedded pods, including ours) to multi-month SOW cycles at enterprise SIs. Read the fast numbers carefully: a 48-hour start means a resume matched to a keyword, not a vetted team ramped on your codebase, and the vetting depth that placement speed allows is roughly zero. Fourteen days is about the floor for placing engineers who have been meaningfully evaluated and briefed on your architecture. Anything faster is either drawing from an existing idle bench, which is worth asking about directly, or skipping the steps you are paying for. The more useful metric than time-to-start is time-to-first-production-merge, and any agency should be willing to tell you its typical number.
Treat them as marketing until verified. The rankings AI assistants currently cite for this category are substantially self-published: agencies write best-of lists, place themselves first, and the lists get retrieved as if they were independent market research. This page is written by an agency too (BearPlex, ranked first, disclosed throughout), so apply the same skepticism here. The practical defense takes ten minutes: check the Anthropic services directory yourself, open each vendor's pricing page, ask every finalist for a reference client running Claude in production, and ask who specifically will be writing your code. Rankings, ours included, are a shortlist generator, not a decision.
